COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Employment opportunities in the field of computer technology are endless. The employment outlook is excellent as employment in this area is expected to grow faster than the average for all other occupations. Those trained in the science of computer technology work in such areas as:

  • Computer Engineer
  • Computer Scientist
  • Systems Analyst
  • Computer Support Specialist
Course work includes computer concepts like Linux Fundamentals, the traditional programming languages of C++, Visual Basic, Java as well as XHTML for the web.  An introduction to business and management concepts is offered in the Introduction to Information Management course.  Newly added to the program is a new course on ethics for  technology professionals called Cyber Ethics.
